Shasta

We're sad to let you know that Shasta, the little dog owned by Tom, Maria and Nick passed away on Friday June 1. She was born May 30, 1991 and started coming to camp for the summer in 1995. She had her 16th birthday two days before.

Shasta made one final trip to the island for Memorial Day weekend this year. She seemed to be very happy to be on the island. She loved laying in the sun, sniffing everything, looking for lost bits of food in the dining area and when she was younger chasing the quail on the fields and barking at the seagulls and ravens.

We'll all miss her here at camp and know that she had a wonderful life and made many friends at camp.
